Kentucky’s COVID-19 positivity rate continues to drop while the state is getting closer to Gov. Beshear’s goal of vaccinating 2.5 million Kentuckians. More than 1.7 million Kentuckians have already received at least one of two doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or one dose of the J&J vaccine.

Gov. Beshear says Kentucky could be three to four weeks away from some COVID-19 restrictions being lifted, if the state achieves 2.5 million vaccinations. However, the rate of vaccination continues to decline, with 550,000 Kentuckians scheduled to receive a vaccine this week.

Gov. Beshear visited UPS Worldport in Louisville this week to celebrate the facility’s remarkable contributions in distributing the COVID-19 vaccines to the commonwealth and beyond. UPS has delivered over 200 million doses of the vaccine across 46 countries.
